THE ARTS ALLIANCE of the Lower Hudson Valley (TAA) was founded in November of 2001 in response to the events of September 11th. This non-profit 501(c)3 organization was created to promote awareness of and participation in the arts through educational programming and collaborations between artists in the local and international communities. The arts represent a global common language that is capable of communicating across language, cultural and educational barriers.
GOALS
The Arts Alliance is committed to:
- Encouraging artistic expression in all disciplines;
- Partnering with school districts and communities to integrate the arts into the educational experience;
- Promoting a wide range of activities, including art workshops, concerts, lectures, exhibits, readings, and performances;
- Securing arts-related funding for programs, projects, and performances;
- Collaborating with businesses, corporations and organizations to further the arts.
